The November Vestry meeting was held on November 10. We shared a soup supper prepared by Bruce. We wrote our thanksgivings on leaves for the Sunday School and shared some God Moments. Lori, Meg, John and Janet will be at congregational development all weekend.
Regrets from Charles, Karen, John and Lynn. The meeting opened at 7:00 pm and we approved the October minutes. Lori gave the financial reports as Lynn was unable to join us. The wreath sale has netted about $560 for the fans in the big church. The Memorial Donations Account is going to increase from the baptisms.
The financial reports were approved. We received the report from the John McCutcheon Concert committee and agreed to maintain the ticket price and to distribute some of the proceeds to Abode services.
Sylvia Ma, Jim Cunningham, and Bruce Roberts gave a report about the little church repair project to move the buttresses to plumb. The whole project should take about four months and has been approved by a structural engineer. No permit is needed as it is a repair. We approved up to $40,000 from the Little Church Fund and also approved Anderson Construction to win the bid, they were the lowest bid and also had the best references.
After recording the previous email vote on framing the prints of the church, we talked about characteristics of a vestry member.
Mike Scrutton gave a presentation on the pledge statistics and a preview on the visioning process presentation which will be given twice on Sunday after each service.
The November vestry reports were accepted and the meeting was closed. We then celebrated Compline in the little church.
