Resources

There are plenty of resources available online to support families with faith formation. I’ve picked just a few here to share with you. Let me know if you have any family favorites we can all share too and I’ll include them in the future.

Tucked In: Bedtime Stories and Prayers  – this is an Episcopal led Facebook group which posts bedtime stories with a faith theme and prayer every Wednesday and some Monday evenings by 4pm Pacific time. They have been going a little while so there is a back catalog of stories to enjoy.

Illustrated Ministry is a great group that I use for Sunday School resources, they create curriculum, coloring pages and posters. They have said up a new FREE weekly email that you can sign up for individually here: https://www.illustratedministry.com/flattenthecurve. I strongly recommend this. Adam has promised when the current situation is resolved they will not put you on their regular mailing list, unless you request it, but this enables those of us who use their materials to share them directly.

Faith@Home – This group will email you a weekly lectionary-based devotional which has reflection and responses appropriate for an adult and small child/elementary child/youth or another adult. You can sign up for their weekly email at www.dofaithathome.org or join their Facebook group Faith-at-Home.

Centering Prayer from Contemplative Outreach Ltd – if you are looking for a way to help guide some quiet time of prayer either alone or with your children this app is free and I have just started using it. It allows you to pick opening and closing prayers and scripture as well as time of silence, which you can control the length of. Let your phone help you slow down.
