On a beautiful spring day, Deacon Ken and I hiked with five young adults in the hills of Ed Levin County Park in Milpitas. The hike was invigorating and educational as parishioner and hike organizer Melissa Ferguson pointed out native grasses and various trees along the way. We shared trail mix and stories, prayed together and pondered whether it was possible for humanity to be in total harmony with nature (and the jury is still out on the verdict). We ended our hike with lunch together and plans for another outing in late spring or early summer. It was a wonderful way to begin the Easter Season in praise of God’s beauty!
