Check out more new additions to the library!

THEO-18  Williams, Rowan  Writing in the Dust: After September 11 (2002). Former archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, presents deep and moving theological reflections based on the tragedy of September 11.

SPIR-41.2  Rolheiser, Ronald  The Holy Longing: The Search for a Christian Spirituality (1999). Hopefully this book will help make things of faith a little clearer, acceptable and hopeful. Also that a bit of God’s sympathy and consolation might seep through to the reader.

PRAY-21.2  Rohr, Richard  Dancing Standing Still (2014). Rohr explores the challenges, rewards, and possibilities of integrating the prayer life with an active and engaged life, moving outward in compassion from a prayerful stance.

MERT-1.1  Deignan, Kathleen, editor  Thomas Merton: A Book of Hours (2007). Deignan has woven together a collection of Merton’s prayer, prose, and poetry into a contemporary psalter that holds us day after day in the embrace of mystery.

INSP-52.3  Thurman, Howard  Jesus and the Disinherited (1976). The centerpiece of Thurman’s lifelong attempts to bring the harrowing beauty of the African-American experience into deep engagement with the “religion of Jesus,” the Gospel that recovers a manual of resistance for the poor and disenfranchised.

PRAY-12.1  Keller, David  Come and See: The Transformation of Personal Prayer (2009). Keller’s perspective on prayer and meditation is deeply Christian but also acknowledges the profound contribution of other faith traditions.

SPIR-26.1  Martin, Jonathan  How to Survive a Shipwreck: Help Is on the Way and Love Is Already Here (donated by Anonymous).
