Thanks to those of you who sent your videos showing you learning the Lord’s Prayer. It isn’t too late to join in the challenge and share your efforts to appear in our class video. Check out last week’s lesson and post to see the details.
This week our video lesson is the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. As you hear the story think about why Jesus was sad. Remember he knew something his disciples didn’t but he still rode into the city.
We are hearing this story a little early as I am asking our young people – Sunday School and youth group – to have a go at illustrating the story using any toys or supplies they have at home, by drawing or painting a picture or even dressing up and staging a photo. Send me a photo of those illustrations and I’ll put them into our Easter Week story film. We will do the same with next weeks story and hopefully get some help from the rest of the congregation to make a film to share. Check out the list below for ideas as to what we need pictures of and, if possible, include the number for each picture when you send them in.
I’ve heard from a few of you how home school is going and it is great to hear from you. Please know your church community is here to help if you need us. I’m sharing some faith related resources here and Rev. Lori also has a list on our weekly email and website. Please take a little time to check out our offerings including Candle Walk, a nighttime prayer for the young (and not so young).
Check out our weekly email and remember to share any birthdays, anniversaries or celebrations with us so we can all pray for you, just as we would if we were meeting on a Sunday.
With love and prayers,
Jan

- Jesus asks the disciples to get him a donkey
- They put cloaks on the donkey and Jesus rode it
- Jesus rode the donkey into Jerusalem
- When people saw him coming, they waved palm leaves
- Crowds gathered and laid palm leaves in his path
- Jesus was sad
- Jesus rode through the gate into Jerusalem
