St. James’ Sunday School Families,

This Sunday, March 15^th 2020, marks the first Sunday I have ever known there not to be worship at St. James’. Like many congregations, schools, offices and other organizations around the world we are finding ways to connect while maintaining safe social distance. We are learning to worship, pray and support each other without the benefit of a weekly meeting. I’ve recorded a short Sunday School video which can be found here:

I am also challenging our children to learn the Lord’s Prayer. This can be age appropriate – saying along with a family member or alone. I’m hoping you will share a video with me of how it is going. If you can send me pictures or video of your children ‘doing church’ we will create a video of them all to share each week – they can see what progress their friends are making!

If you can record the Lord’s Prayer for me in another language, I’d love those videos too! Just send them to jan@saintj.com straight from your phones! Please don’t worry which ‘version’ you use of the Lord’s Prayer. In worship at St. James’ we use the traditional language. A print out for coloring around is found here and if you’d like the color in sheets mentioned on the video please email jan@saintj.com

There will be another short Sunday School video next week, I hope you will make time to watch and join in our activity. Connection to church and community is so important and we will do our best to support you during this time. I’ve included some resources on this page and  I’ll update the list occasionally.
