Lenten formation series 2022: Letting Go
Our Lenten adult formation series this year will be Letting Go with All Your Heart, Soul, Strength, and Mind. Led by intern Ingrid Jacobson, this group will explore the theme of letting go, as we prepare ourselves to be transformed by Jesus’ call to live an undivided life, where heart, soul, strength, and mind are integrated into both our being and our doing.
As is the St. James custom, we will meet (on Zoom) on Tuesday evenings from 7-8 pm, for six weeks from March 8-April 12. With the aid of a new daily devotional guide for the season of Lent from Living Compass, a spirituality and wellness initiative, each week will explore a different type of letting go: letting go of control; letting go of hurt and disappointment; letting go to enhance our health and well-being; letting go in love; letting go of ‘shoulds’; and letting go of expectations.
Each participant will be given a printed copy of the daily devotional. The idea is for participants to follow along with it each day at home, and gather for weekly Zoom sessions to reflect, share, and deepen our practice of letting go, letting God. Ideally, participants will commit to attending all or most of the six sessions.
Join us as we make this Lenten journey together.

There are likely to be some extra copies of the daily devotional for people who would like one to use independently.
