Join us in person on Wednesday afternoons to read together the book, “Inspired” by Rachel Held Evans. Rachel Held Evan’s book has the subtitle “Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again”, a nod towards the overall content of the book being one about scripture. How do we read our sacred stories? How do we reconcile the difficult stories with our understanding of God? What does the Bible mean for us today? Through memoir, poetry, short stories and vignettes, Held Evan’s walks with us while we learn about the living word of God’s story. This book study will meet in the Education Room from 3:00-4:00 beginning September 14. Please purchase your book in advance. If you need financial assistance, please let Lori know.
