Lectio Divina sacred time
Jul 3 @ 9:30 am – 10:00 am

Beginning October 10 at 9:15 and following every Sunday at 9:30am, Brian Cochran will be leading a sacred time of Lectio Divina in the Little Church.  Lectio Divina is a way of engaging in scripture that leads us into deep contemplation and into deeper union with God.  Established as a monastic practice by St. Benedict in the 6th century, this mode of reading the Word continues to enrich the lives of Christians throughout the world.  This is a wonderful practice to add to your Sunday.  Let Brian know if you have questions, or stop in any Sunday for this experience.

Grief Support Group
Jul 12 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

St. James’ is offering a Grief Support group for any who wish to attend. Our parish has lost a number of members over the past 15 months, and in addition, many parishioners have losses of their own among friends and their families—many of whom have been denied the usual memorial rites and rituals due to the pandemic. Grief and loss are a part of life, but current conditions have aggravated the pain which loss includes. We therefore hope to provide a place and time where we can share one another’s losses and alleviate some of the pain. Bill Hale, former grief support person for Odyssey Hospice in Michigan, will facilitate the group. Please contact Rev. Bill for more information.
