The Women’s Spirituality Group will be putting together “Care Packages” as requested by Deacon Ken for the Street Outreach Chaplain program. We are requesting donations from the parish of the following:
- Dark colored socks
- Face cloths
- Toothbrushes in a wrapper (ask for some at your dentist)
- Travel size tubes of toothpaste
- Travel size deodorant
- Travel size shampoo
- Travel size bars of soap
- Travel size hand sanitizer
- Small combs
- Energy bars or granola bars
- Treats such as a pack of gum, prayer card, personal note of encouragement etc.
We can also use gallon-size zip-lock plastic bags to create individual packages. Many of the items can be picked up at your hotel/motel/resort while you are on vacation. A container will be in the entry of the Big Church to collect your donations. This is a year round ministry that appreciates your generosity.
